Who needs a Jacot tool???

In truth, not very many people! It's a strange looking tool and it's not for everyone. But because I have a particular passion for vintage watches, then this jacot tool can be pretty handy. It's used for burnishing, polishing, and shortening wheel pivots. It's really for those vintage calibres that drill the pivot holes straight into the metal of the various plates/bridges. The friction of metal on metal can leave both the pivot holes and the wheel pivots needing a little burnishing to remove any snags.
Do I really need it? Probably not, and I don't use it very often. But it's a beautiful little tool to have in your arsenal, and when you're chasing amplitude on a 5 jewel watch movement, this can be a good friend!
